Accessibility Statement
Loadout is built for federal training environments. Accessibility is a baseline requirement across the site and the operator tooling, not an afterthought.
Conformance target
WCAG 2.1 Level AA · Section 508
loadoutforensics.com is built to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, which is the technical baseline incorporated by Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act for U.S. federal information and communications technology.
The broader Loadout platform, including the desktop Dashboard and operator tooling, is engineered to the same Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 AA standard. Conformance is self-assessed. A VPAT (Voluntary Product Accessibility Template) is available on request.

How we audit
Continuous, not point-in-time
The site's accessibility is verified on every build by an axe-core CI gate that scans all routes against WCAG 2.0 AA, WCAG 2.1 AA, and WCAG 2.2 AA tags. Zero tolerated violations: any serious or critical finding blocks the build.
Manual keyboard navigation and screen-reader spot-checks (VoiceOver on macOS, NVDA on Windows) run alongside the CI gate for each release. Conformance is self-assessed; a third-party audit can be commissioned on request for specific federal pursuits.
What is implemented
Engineered, not retrofitted
Keyboard
Skip link on every page. Visible 2px amber focus ring with 2px offset on every interactive element. Logical tab order verified across nav, page content, and footer.
Motion
Every animation honors
prefers-reduced-motion. Entrance animations are disabled entirely when the reduced-motion preference is set; no vestibular-triggering transitions remain active.Semantics
Single
h1per page, no skipped heading levels. Landmarks (main, nav, footer, section) are labelled where multiple instances exist. Decorative imagery uses emptyaltandaria-hidden.Color and contrast
Body text and amber accents meet the AA ratios defined in the brand guide: primary text at 14.35:1 on charcoal, amber accent at 7.00:1. Status information is carried by text, not color alone.
Responsive
Content reflows to mobile viewports. The layout supports 200% browser zoom without horizontal scrolling. No fixed-pixel containers that break at high magnification.
Known limitations
Honest about the gaps
Product screenshots.Screenshots of the Dashboard and Control Station are decorative companions. Each carries alt text describing its subject. The canonical capability detail is in the surrounding page text, not the image.
PDF artifacts.Any document-format artifacts linked from the site (briefing decks, data sheets) are audited separately from the HTML site. Where a PDF is inaccessible, an HTML alternative or contact-based access path is provided on the same page.
